An Environmental Protection Agency ‘Co-Permittee Notice of Intent’ is a form that is often filled out by a contractor notifying the Environmental Protection Agency they intend to be granted coverage under a larger permit which is previously granted to the project owner.  Where a ‘Permittee’ might be a local authority or project owner with jurisdiction over a storm water management permit area, a ‘Co-permittee’ is often the contractor who wishes to seek approval by the EPA to manage storm water discharges and hence coverage under the ‘Permittee’s’ primary coverage.  On this form, the primary permit number must be listed along with information about the Permittee and Co-permittee.
